Personalised wedding ceremonies

A wedding or commitment ceremony should reflect the two people at the centre of it. And yet, it so often defaults to a familiar template - shaped by tradition, expectation, or a sense of what you think you’re meant to do.

Beyond a small number of legal requirements, there is space to shape a ceremony that feels considered and true to you. One that reflects your relationship, your values, and the way you want to mark this moment together.

I'm Diana Fisk, an authorised marriage celebrant with a background in documentary filmmaking and creative facilitation. I've spent years listening closely to people, asking thoughtful questions, and understanding how best to reflect real stories with accuracy and care. This is the same approach I bring to every ceremony I create.

Rather than relying on scripts or formulas, I work collaboratively with each couple to shape a ceremony that feels clear, personal, and well-held. The focus is on creating something that reflects who you are - while also welcoming the community of family and friends gathered to witness it.

Ceremonies I offer…

I offer two ways to work together: a pared-back legal ceremony, or a fully supported personalised ceremony.

Legals Only

A simple, respectful way to take care of the legal requirements of marriage.

This option is intentionally minimal and focused solely on meeting the legal obligations.

Inclusions:

  • Completion and lodgement of all required legal paperwork

  • A short legal ceremony (approximately 5–10 minutes)

  • Use of the required legal wording

  • Registration of the marriage after the ceremony

This option suits couples who are planning their own ceremony or celebration and would like the legal component handled clearly and professionally.

Personalised Ceremony

This is my core offering - a fully supported, personalised ceremony shaped around who you are.

Inclusions:

  • A personalised ceremony written from scratch

  • Online planning conversations as required

  • Story-sharing prompts and guidance

  • Support with shaping vows, if desired

  • Coordination of ceremony flow and contributors

  • Management of music and sound (PA and microphone provided)

  • Completion and lodgement of all legal paperwork

Because every ceremony is different, pricing for this option is shared once we’ve had a chance to connect and talk through what you’re planning.

Process of working together

l offer a calm, considered process - one that balances structure with flexibility, and support without over complication.

Getting started
We begin with an online conversation to talk through what you’re planning and what matters most to you. This is also where we take care of the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) and confirm legal timelines.

Shaping the ceremony
You’ll be invited to share your story through a set of thoughtful prompts, along with optional ideas and inspiration. From there, Diana writes a ceremony that reflects you - without relying on templates or scripts.

Legal details
Closer to the ceremony, we complete the remaining legal paperwork together. This is usually done privately on the day and is quick and straightforward.

On the day
Diana arrives prepared and present, guides the ceremony with clarity and care, and manages the flow - including music and sound through the PA where required.

Afterwards
All paperwork is lodged and the marriage is registered, so nothing is left hanging.

Throughout the process, support is there when you need it - without pressure, rushing, or unnecessary meetings.

Inclusive and accessible ceremonies

I am committed to creating ceremonies that are inclusive, respectful, and accessible.

I bring extensive experience working with marginalised communities and people with disabilities. Any access needs, cultural considerations, or personal preferences can be discussed openly so the ceremony feels comfortable and meaningful for everyone present.
